They are drawn to the challenges of systems and ideas, and enjoy working on big questions. They also like to work alone, and may not be comfortable with others in the room.
They are the least likely type to enjoy small talk or small groups. They can be quiet at first, but will typically open up with their ideas and opinions. INTPs are often very analytical. They are often drawn to science and technology, physics, math, philosophy, logical thinking, and logical arguments for solutions for problems. INTPs are often drawn to objects that represent their “ideas”—such as maps or diagrams. They may also try to create “ideas” by drawing them on paper or on objects.
While they might seem quiet and reserved at first, INTPs can be very interesting people to talk to. If you express an interest in the same topics they enjoy, they will most likely become a great friend.
