John Lockwood personality type is ENTJ, and personal and work style is ENTP.
When I was new to the ENTJ personality type and the world of type development, I used to enjoy reading other people’s descriptions of their personality type. There was a gentleman named Paul McCracken who had created the Entp (Extraversion, iNtuition, Thinking, Perception) personality type. He described the ENTJ as follows:
A person with this personality type is outgoing, competent, decisive, and confident. He or she can often be seen as dominating or domineering. ENTJs are also good at "reading" people and situations in order to see how they fit into a larger framework. They are also pragmatic and rational in their thought processes… [They are] analytical of their environment, and keenly aware of the social dynamics of any group in which they participate.
Paul’s description was the first I had seen of the ENTJ personality type. (This was 1993, remember.) It was not 100% accurate for me, but it was a good start. And I started reading other descriptions of the ENTJ type, with different levels of accuracy and specificity.
