Peter Parker "Spider-Man" personality type is INTP, a rare and somewhat misunderstood type.
My description of the Spider-Man personality type was originally published here on my blog in 2010. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with over 1,000 people who identify as INTP. I have come to understand that the Spider-Man type is misunderstood and misrepresented in popular culture.

INTPs are often stereotyped as being mischievous, shy, and analytical.
The Spidey "type" is described as wanting to "hang out with his friends" and being "very social, very chatty."
The Spider-Man "type" often seeks adventure, and is said to be "always looking for the next big thrill."
It would appear that one must be very careful about applying the "Spider-Man" personality type to INTPs. The INTP's true nature does not fit this stereotype.
INTPs are often stereotyped as being mischievous, shy, and analytical. But Spider-Man is anything but that.
