Dr Kelton said the MBTI was designed to help people understand themselves and others more clearly.
"Each type is its own 'personality' - either introverted or extraverted, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling," she said.
"There are four types: introvert (sensing), extravert (thinking), intuitive (intuition) and perceiving (sensing).
"Each type has its own special gifts and challenges. They tend to have different needs and respond better to different types of situations."
