I was in a group when I was in high school where I would go up to random people and say “hey, I’m an INTP,” and they would almost always say the same exact thing back to me: “are you sure? I mean, I know INTPs, and you don’t seem like them at all.”
This is a very common thing for an INTP to say.
Now, I’ll admit, I tried to fit into a lot of different categories when I was in high school. I wanted to be the cool one, the outcast, the smart one, the funny one, the one who stood out from the crowd.
And it’s not that I didn’t care about what other people thought of me.
