Ringo Oohoshi personality type is INTP, so I don't know how his personality type is supposed to translate. Maybe INTJ, I don't know. But at least, I'm glad you're being more specific about who you mean by "the world of Ringo Oohoshi". I'm not sure I'd have read mecha if I didn't know that it was Ringo Oohoshi. Though, the whole "Type-Moon Gekidan Highschool of the Round" thing was an interesting concept. There are some things that are worth reading just for the art/artistry.
If you're wondering about the "Berserk" thing, it's more of a reference to the manga. You see, "Berserk" is based on a long-running manga/comic, and the first anime series had an OVA before it aired. The manga was covered in the OVA, but I can't remember the exact details off the top of my head.
I don't think that Soul Eater is shounen at all. It's more of a slice of life show, but with a lot more action.
