Davros personality type is INTJ, or the “Intellectual” or “The Thinker” (the stereotypical ISTJ of the series is the “Master Race” type, which is why I’ve argued that the Daleks are INTJ).
But for all his power, he falls on the wrong side of the war, and is captured by the Daleks, who consider him to be a threat. Davros is very clever, and he escapes almost immediately. He’s on the run for the rest of the series. By this point, he’s more than just “a scientist” to the Daleks. They consider him to be some sort of god or power figure. Davros tells them that if they destroy him, they destroy themselves.
In the end, Davros is saved by a human named John Lumic, who has been working with the Daleks since they encountered him in the past. He’s been doing their bidding by creating machines that will help them achieve their goals. As a result, he’s part of a “master race” of sorts. But he also wants to create something new and better for himself and humanity.
