Brother personality type is INTP, which is the most common type in the world. The most common type in the world is INTP? Really? Is that because nerds are so much more common than others? Why doesn’t the INFJ come out on top?
My formal study of Myers-Briggs, which was in high school, was done in the early 2000s when it was still fashionable. Even then, I didn’t take it very seriously. I saw it as an interesting typing tool that helped me understand the people I knew better.
INTPs can be found across the political spectrum, yet they are often underrepresented in the media. I’m not sure why this happens. The Myers Briggs site seems to claim that you can’t find INTPs among the rich and famous. But I’ve met plenty of wealthy, famous people who are INTPs, including Tony Blair, Queen Elizabeth II, and Ryan Gosling.
Myers Briggs has also been criticized for being too “inclusive” because it’s not based on IQ or academic performance. This is why it’s not used in universities to screen applicants.
