Japanese Internet users find INTPs very interesting. For example, they see INTPs as stylish, smart, and calm. They also see INTPs as people who don’t talk much, but are said to be excellent at expressing ideas. This is probably because of the INTE function of the Japanese language.

I tried to explain the INTE function of the Japanese language to my Japanese friends, but I think they’re still confused about it.

INTE means “lacking extra information.”

Let’s take the following sentence as an example.

「僕は昨日お金を出した。たぶんアメリカンが1000円だった。」

The literal translation of this sentence would be “I am sure that I am 1000 yen short.” You can see that it is merely a translation of the English sentence, “I am sure that I am 1000 yen short.”
