What is the personality type of Autechre? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Autechre from Music B&s and what is the personality traits.
Autechre personality type is INTP, which is a bit strange because they're very organized and organized people tend to be ESTP. I've seen a few people say that since they're a bit more organized than other people, they can't be INTP, but I'm sure there's a few practical reasons for it. I'm not really sure whether or not to take this seriously, but it seems plausible enough.
The definitive interpretation of the "Autechre personality type" has been: "INTP: An individual who is not naturally inclined to use logic and, instead, prefers to rely on intuition and creativity to solve problems. They will often be viewed as weird and eccentric, and because of this this type tends to be highly creative and intelligent." -Wikipedia
I think this is pretty interesting. I guess it explains why Autechre aren't usually included in other lists such as "The 5 Most Creative Music Artists of All Time", "The 10 Most Creative People of All Time", etc. I think it could be because they don't fit the common mold of "creative".
It also appears that they're very objective and rational, making them seem like Ni types.
Autechre is an English electronic music duo consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth, both from Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Formed in 1987, they are among the best known acts signed to UK electronic label Warp Records, through which all of Autechre's full-length albums have been released beginning with their 1993 debut Incunabula. They gained initial recognition when they were featured on Warp's 1992 compilation Artificial Intelligence. Influenced by styles such as 1980s electro and hip hop, the music of Autechre has evolved throughout their career from early, melodic techno recordings to later works often considered abstract and experimental, featuring complex composition and few stylistic conventions. Their work has been associated with the 1990s electronic genre known as intelligent dance music, though Booth has dismissed the label as "silly."
