What is the personality type of Ozric Tentacles? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Ozric Tentacles from Music B&s and what is the personality traits.
Ozric Tentacles personality type is INTP, which, as you know, is the only one of the 16 personality types that I have met to date. I have also met a handful of INFPs, the next most common type, and a few INTPs… but I can't say that I have ever met an INTP before. In fact, I have rarely heard of them, and would have been surprised to find one. INTPs are rare.
This makes sense because INTPs are a rarer type, but it still seems a bit odd to me. INTPs are not known for shyness or social awkwardness, much less for being introverted to the point of being hidden away. But they do have a reputation for being quiet and reserved.
What is going on here? Why would a person who is as outgoing as an INFP be considered an INTP? Is the INFP mislabeled as an INTP? Is it possible that both types really are introverted?
In this article, I will show you why I believe that INTPs are indeed introverted, and what the differences and similarities between the two types might be.
Getting Started: Introverts and Extroverts
Ozric Tentacles are an English instrumental rock band, whose music incorporates elements from a diverse range of genres, including psychedelic rock, progressive rock, space rock, jazz fusion, electronic music, dub music, world music, and ambient music. Formed in Somerset in 1983, the band has released over 30 albums selling over a million copies worldwide despite never having signed to a major recording label. Throughout many line-up changes over the years, co-founder and guitarist Ed Wynne has remained the only original member of the band. The band is now credited as one of the major influences of the UK festival scene's re-emergence, becoming particularly associated with the Glastonbury Festival and their handmade series of cassette releases, mostly sold at gigs and through a fan club.
