Soundgarden personality type is INFP, which means that they seem to be very sensitive and easily hurt. Some of the examples that my therapist gave:

“They can’t stand to be ignored and will go out of their way to make you notice them”

“If they don’t get their needs met they feel like they’ve been wronged and will hurtle into a rage”

“They like to be around people and love talking with people, but if they don’t get their needs met they can become very angry and angry is not a good emotion for INFPs to have.”

I don’t know if I can relate to this in any tangible way, because in my daily life I am the most in-the-moment person who can be found. But when I was in a relationship with my wife, I found it hard to focus on her when she was in pain or angry, because it hurt so much to see her hurt. It hurt so much to see her hurting when she didn’t get her needs met.

And I think that this has also caused me to avoid relationships with women.

Soundgarden was an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1984 by singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. Matt Cameron became the band's full-time drummer in 1986, while bassist Ben Shepherd became a permanent replacement for Yamamoto in 1990. The band dissolved in 1997 and re-formed in 2010. Following Cornell's death in 2017 and a year of uncertainty of the band's future, Thayil declared in October 2018 that the band was finished; they did, however, reunite in January 2019 for a one-off concert in tribute to Cornell. Soundgarden are associated with grunge, a style of alternative rock that developed in Seattle. After releasing two EPs on the Seattle-based label Sub-Pop in 1987 and 1988, their debut album, Ultramega OK was released on the California-based independent label SST Records in 1989. While the album did not sell well nationally, it gained critical acclaim and was nominated for a Grammy award in 1990.
