    ISFP (4w3)

Stone Temple Pilots personality type is ISFP, and the first album that I introduced to him was "Purple" and he loves it. It's a different story because I've seen him in the studio and how he works with the engineer and stuff like that. He can be quite an animal when he's in the studio.

He's not as much as a perfectionist as he is as an artist, like I said before. You know, sometimes he will put down tracks and we'll go back and forth and we'll just do it over and over. And we'll just try to get it just right and he'll just go, "You know what? This one's alright." And then we'll go through and we'll change it and then we'll try it again and we might do it again and we might do it again until we think it's right. And he's very open to that kind of thing. Sometimes he will come up with something very strongly connected to him and sometimes it will be a little bit off and he'll say, "No, no, this one will be better." And then we'll mix that one and that will be the mix that he likes.

The band's line-up remained unchanged from its formation in 1989 until the firing of Weiland in February 2013. Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington joined the band in May 2013 but left amicably in November 2015. In 2016, the band launched an online audition for a new lead vocalist and announced Jeff Gutt as the new lead singer of the band on November 14, 2017. After forming in 1989 under the name Mighty Joe Young, the band signed with Atlantic Records and changed its name to Stone Temple Pilots. The band's debut album, Core, released in 1992, was a major commercial success and STP went on to become one of the most commercially successful bands of the 1990s, selling more than 18 million albums in the United States and 40 million worldwide. The band released four more studio albums: Purple, Tiny Music...
