Billy Corgan is an INFP. He's also known for being highly sensitive, artistic, and introspective.

INFPs are highly sensitive people who tend to have a strong talent for understanding other people on a deep level. They tend to be very creative and artistic. This is what Billy Corgan has always had, and it's what he's known for.

INFPs are also known for being extremely sensitive to criticism, being highly reactive to negative feedback, and being very bad at handling conflict. Billy Corgan is known for his bad at handling conflict, since he becomes defensive and angry when someone criticizes him or his work. This is not uncommon among INFPs, who may seem like they're above all of this, but they're really not.

The Smashing Pumpkins are an American alternative rock band from Chicago. Formed in 1988 by frontman Billy Corgan, D'arcy Wretzky, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin, the band has undergone many line-up changes. The current lineup features Corgan, Chamberlin, Iha and guitarist Jeff Schroeder. Disavowing the punk rock roots of many of their alt-rock contemporaries, they have a diverse, densely layered, and guitar-heavy sound, containing elements of gothic rock, heavy metal, dream pop, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, shoegazing, and, in later recordings, electronica. Corgan is the group's primary songwriter; his musical ambitions and cathartic lyrics have shaped the band's albums and songs, which have been described as "anguished, bruised reports from Billy Corgan's nightmare-land". The Smashing Pumpkins broke into the musical mainstream with their second album, 1993's Siamese Dream.
