In her early years, Allison had a harder time with relationships. Her family was very close-knit, and she didn’t have a lot of friends as a child. She grew up as a loner, and as a result, she didn’t have any kind of close relationships as a teenager.
“I had a hard time making friends because I was so shy,” she says. “I didn’t have a lot of friends growing up because I had no one to talk to. I had a hard time with relationships because I had no one to relate to. I had no one to talk to about my emotions.”
In college, she finally found people she could relate to, and she was able to explore her feminine side. She also discovered that she was a natural leader. “In college, I really started to explore my feminine side, and I got more into the social scene,” she says. “I was in college for four years, and I didn’t really have any close relationships until my junior year when I met my best friend.”
