My brother and I were born and raised in the same small town in Maine, and we were very close as children, but we grew up and drifted apart as we got older. Our differences in personality had more to do with our ideals than anything else. I am attracted to people who are not like me, while my brother is not. He is an INTJ, while I am an ENTJ. He is not only more stubborn than me, but he also wants to tell other people what to do. He has had more than his share of problems with authority figures, and that has come out in his personality.
I’m not trying to pick on my brother; he is simply representative of how it is for many INTJs. It seems that the world at large is not always welcoming to the Intuitive Thinking Judging types, who are often known as the “know-it-alls” or “intellectuals” or “troublemakers” by non-INTJ types.
