Alison Bechdel personality type is INTP, which is also my personality type.
I don't think it's a coincidence that I discovered this website and this book when I was in the process of reading about my personality type and the MBTI.
I think I'm going to read them both again.
(And if they actually get me to read the rest of the Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy, that's all the more reason to read them!)
amypollick I've read them both, and they're excellent. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they're not actually in chronological order, but they aren't in any other order in the book either. The only thing in the chronological order is the letters, and they're all written by an INTP.
I'm not sure what you'd expect from an INTP. I'd say that the most logical thing would be for an INTP like Arthur Dent to think that space travel was really cool and then go on to become a space travel enthusiast (which is not the case). There's no real reason why Arthur Dent would be an INTP, but I'm pretty sure that Arthur Dent is not an INTP.
Alison Bechdel (/ˈbɛkdəl/ BEK-dəl; born September 10, 1960) is an American cartoonist. Originally best known for the long-running comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For, she came to critical and commercial success in 2006 with her graphic memoir Fun Home, which was subsequently adapted as a musical and won a Tony Award for Best Musical in 2015. In 2012, she released her second graphic memoir Are You My Mother? She was a 2014 recipient of the MacArthur "Genius" Award. She is also known for the Bechdel test.
