    Rosa: Tell me about your childhood and growing up in England.

    Joanne: I grew up in London and Spain, and then we moved back to London when I was about five. I lived there for about four years and then we moved to Spain, where I grew up.

    Joanne: My father was a musician and died when I was 15. I didn’t really know him very well. He played piano in a band and was really into The Beatles and music and I think that’s where my interest in music came from.

    Anne Perry (born Juliet Marion Hulme; 28 October 1938) is an English author of historical detective fiction, best known for her Thomas Pitt and William Monk series. In 1954, at the age of fifteen, she was convicted of participating in the murder of her friend's mother. She changed her name after serving her five-year sentence.
