    INFJ

    INFJ (5w6)

Isaac Babel personality type is INFJ, therefore I’m probably not the best person to ask about this. But, I’ve been feeling like I’ve been feeling, and always wondered why.

I’m not sure if I’d say this is applicable to all INFJs, but I’m often put in situations where there is a conflict between my desire to be intimate with someone and my desire to avoid conflict. I’ve been confused about what to do, whether to make a conscious effort to avoid conflict or if that would be construed as an attempt to be less than 100% honest.

I have a lot of respect for INFJs who are good at avoiding conflict, especially those who have a clear conscience. But I think it’s important for us to know what we’re made of, so that we can figure out how to deal with the conflict in our lives. Because if we don’t know what we want, how can we find it?

The thing is, I don’t think you can “avoid conflict.” You can avoid conflict when you are dishonest. You can avoid conflict when you are being manipulative.
