Jo Nesbø personality type is INTP, so I decided that this book would be a good introduction to the subject, although I've not read anything by him before. The main character, Harry Hole, is a brilliant police detective who gets the nickname "the vampire", although he has no paranormal powers. Although there are no vampires in this book, it is a good insight into the type of thinking that EJs do.
I am looking forward to reading the next two books in the series. I like the way that the chapters are short and to the point, just enough to get you interested in the next chapter. I guess that's the mark of an INTP. The book starts with a bang and you have a lot to catch up with.
I can't give you much more than that in terms of a plot summary. The power of this book is its characters. You love them or hate them, but they are very likeable. Harry is not as good as he thinks he is, his partner Rakel is tough but capable, and the love interest is a bit of a mystery, but she's very attractive.
