Lloyd personality type is INTP, which means that they are independent-minded logical thinkers.
I believe this is the reason why I have never had the urge to do the stereotypical parent thing of trying to change me. I have always felt that if you are an INTP, it is your responsibility to figure out who you are, what you want, and go for it. But I don’t agree with the “you need to be fixed” crowd.
If you are an INTP, you probably feel like me. You may feel like your parents thought you should be someone other than who you are, or that they should know better than to try to change you.
When I first started thinking about this article, I was stuck on the name “INTP” for the type. I kept considering the letters TP, for Type Perceivers. The problem was that I couldn’t quantify exactly what makes me different than other people; I was stuck on “I don’t want to be fixed.”
I kept thinking about how I don’t like to be told what to do or how to act.
