I've been told that I am a "mad scientist" by some of my friends who are INFJs. And that always kind of ticked me off, because it's an insult, and not a compliment. I'm not a mad scientist. I'm a journalist, and I'm also a professional writer, and I've made a living as a writer and as a journalist by telling stories. Now, for those of you who don't know what "mad scientist" means, it's a figure of speech that means someone who is obsessive about their work, who is obsessed with finding solutions to problems, especially scientific or technological problems. That's not me. I'm not obsessed with my work. In fact, I hate my work. I spend most of my time now as a computer programmer for a lawyer, but I still spend a lot of time on the computer. It's my hobby, it's what I do for fun, but computer programming is not my hobby, it's my job.
