He is my favorite person on the planet, but he is damn near the best writing and editing person I've ever met. (He has the most amazing writing style and ability to put words together.) He also is a connoisseur of fine food, wine and art. He has a vivid imagination and a mind that is more powerful than it looks. He reads more than I do, by a lot. I think he's going to be some sort of author at some point, but who knows when? He's a brilliant person.
I love him. I love the way he thinks and he loves the way I think. He likes me for my faults. I love him for his flaws. We've been friends for too long for me to see him as anything other than perfect, but that doesn't mean he isn't human. He commits mistakes just like anyone else does. But he's also kind and considerate and funny and sweet and fun.
