As a child, Patti enjoyed sports and worked hard to be the best player she could be. Her father’s hard work gave her the opportunity to excel in high school athletics. She played everything from volleyball to basketball.
While growing up, Patti was not interested in pursuing an athletic career in college, but she did want to become an engineer. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
