He was a very intelligent man who believed in a godly form of government, and he believed in the strength of the Javanese monarchy. He was a man of God who wanted to protect the people from the harsh realities of life. He saw that good people could be brought down by their own weaknesses, and he was there to lift them up.
In the book, I’ve written about Nyai Ontosoroh’s childhood and youth. I wanted to know what he had been like when he was a young man, and why he became a political activist. In his twenties, he became a self-taught expert in government in order to make a difference in his world.
