Fluxus, a word derived from the French word for "lively," is a philosophy and art movement that started in the 1960s. It was one of the first conceptual art movements to combine visual and performing art.

Fluxus was an informal international group of avant-garde artists working in a wide range of media and active from the early 1960s to the late 1970s.
