Galbatorix personality type is ENTJ, but this is simply because of the vast array of knowledge he had at his disposal. He didn't have to use all of his knowledge to pull of his plan, but he did.
There are no real proof that confirms that he actually used them though.
I assume that you're refering to the fact that he knew about the Rider magic before he left Alagaesia.
Well, this is just speculation, but it's possible that he may have known about it before he left Alagaesia. The only reason I say this is because there are cases where dragons are the only ones who know the means of killing dragons, or are the only ones who can use certain magic. If Hiccup had really been around for a long time, then maybe he would have known, but he wasn't around long enough for this theory to be accurate.
It's true that dragons know about the secret of the Riders using magic, but that's because they can see into people's minds. They can see that the rider has magic within them, but they don't know what they used it for. They don't know what the rider is capable of, they just know what they can do.
