Smaug personality type is INTP, which is in my opinion the least common personality type, but when it comes to the dragon, it is most likely that Smaug is an INTP. The big difference between the two is that Smaug’s personality is very arrogant and cynical, whereas the INTP is not very self-confident and can easily be hurt by others.

The story of the Hobbit is written in a way that shows a lot of human traits and emotions. Smaug’s personality is shown in a way that it is very arrogant and cruel. He thinks that a hobbit is “mere insect” and he feels anger towards a hobbit. He uses his large size as a weapon against the hobbits and he wants to kill them all. He shows his anger towards Thorin, Bilbo and Gandalf.
