I’m pretty sure I’m one of the only people who thought the same way about the pair before the series started airing. Kyle is, in many respects, a textbook ISTJ (Intimidatingly Superior to Everyone) while Wendy is his typical angelic counterpart.
I mean, at first glance, it looks like Wendy is perpetually in shock while Kyle is the one who’s always in charge, but that’s not necessarily true. Kyle may be the one who calls the shots, but if he doesn’t want to take action, Wendy will be the one to do it for him.
It’s not uncommon for Kyle to have to stop Wendy from acting on her own because he’s too busy being the boss, even if things are way beyond her control. He’ll naturally want to give them directions.
The two are similar in that both have a lot of patience and are generally good people, but they have completely different personalities. These differences help them balance each other out, being able to rely on each other when applicable.
