Baby personality type is INTP, and this is a really good description of how I’ve been feeling through all these things happening.
As an INTP, I have a very difficult time with being “present” in the moment, because I’m always thinking about what might happen next, or what someone else might think about what’s going on. This might be a little bit over-simplifying it, but hypothetically, let’s say you’re walking down the street with your pet dog, and you see a cat run out into the street. The cat gets hit by a car and killed. What is the most important thing to you in that moment? Is it your pet dog? Is it the state of the animal that just died? Is it the state of the road where it happened? Is it the fact that there’s no more animal, because you’ll miss your pet dog?
It just becomes this emotional roller coaster for me that I just don’t seem to have control over. I get caught up in the moment, and I can’t just let it be, like “Okay, well, this happened. This is sad.
