Paula Mézgáné Rezovits was born on May 2, 1983 in Budapest. She is the daughter of Miklós Rezovits, a former member of the Hungarian Parliament, and Klára Rezovits. Her mother is from a Jewish family from Szabolcs County and her father was an ethnic Hungarian from Szász-Ujvár who converted to the Roman Catholic Church. Her father and mother met in elementary school. Paula has two younger sisters, Eszter and Emese.
Mézgáné Rezovits began her career as a model when she was 13 years old. She made her acting debut in the 2002 film "Visszaütöttem a szívem" (lit. "Back to My Heart") opposite Gábor Balogh, with whom she would star in six more films. In 2005 she starred in the film adaptation of Noémi Szőke's novel "Árulók" (lit. "The Traitor"), which was screened at the Montreal Film Festival that year.
