Alice personality type is ENTJ, and I'm a rare ENTP. That doesn't mean that I'm a rare case in being female. I'm not. I've been reading all day and have been struck by the fact that the personas of female characters in games have been so much more varied than those of male characters. I mean, I guess this is the case anyway, but it's been struck home to me today - because in a game that has a canon character that's a female ENTP, there was a spontaneous outpouring of love for that character.
This isn't a novel idea either, any more than "game characters are more varied than real people."
Not to mention that ENTJ females are a rarer species than ENTJ females.
I think the reason for this is that it's an easy way to make a character likable, rather than having to work out complexities. In the case of male characters, you have to make them likable in a more complex way - they have to be "realistic" (whatever that means) and you have to make them more likeable than some other character who's not likable.
