Tyl Regor personality type is ENTJ, so let me just say that I don't think he's a sociopath.
Gideon Ravenwood ENTJ seems to fit this better than NTP. I mean, he was in the military, which would make him a more disciplined and organized person, and he was detached from his work as a scientist because of the lack of results. He's not a cold, uncaring person, but he does not get close to anyone in his career. He's probably a lot more like an INTJ, but he doesn't show a lot of emotion.
Kitchy I always considered Tyl Regor an ENFJ. He was very generous with people he liked, he was very kind and gentle when dealing with children, he was very sensitive and caring towards animals, and while he did have to be in charge, nothing ever seemed to bother him or get him upset like it did with Jock Larsen.
