Friedrich-Albert Lange (1828 in Wald (de) near Solingen - 1875 in Marburg) German historian and philosopher, son of the theologian Johann Peter Lange.
He taught in Cologne, then at the University of Bonn, and finally (1858) at the Duisburg Gymnasium. In 1861, he devoted himself to politics and sided with August Bebel (founder of the Social Democratic Party).
In 1866, he took refuge in Winterthur (near Zurich) and returned to Prussia in 1873 to take up the chair of philosophy at the University of Marburg, where he was involved in constant press trials.
