Paul Stamets personality type is INTP, and I wonder if he might entertain this thought, even if his personality type is not.
I am an INTP, and I agree with him. I am interested in the idea of what is happening to the biosphere and the interconnectedness of life. I am not sure that my own personality type is changing, but my perception of the world is. If anything, I am more suspicious of people and their motives, and more interested in going out and seeing the world firsthand.
What a fascinating idea! Maybe it’s a bit early to speculate on this, but I’m wondering if the earth is entering a new phase of evolution, where humanity is more likely to have a positive impact on ecosystems, rather than being the cause of them being altered or destroyed.
I don’t know if I agree with that. I agree that humanity has been a force of destruction for the last few thousand years, but I am more optimistic that it will become a force of evolution rather than destruction. It’s going to be a dangerous time for humanity, but I think we’re going to make it.
