Nanpou Kyouji (南方 恭次, Nanpō Kyōji; "Kyouji Nanpou") is the assistant commissioner of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). He also became one of Kakerou's Referees after the events of the Labyrinth Arc.
When Nanpou was in the MPD, he was very smug and constantly smirking. As a Kakerou Referee, he is much more serious. Nanpou was a gang leader when he was younger, and his gang was the rival gang of Kadokura Yuudai's. The two of them came to a head and they clashed directly, having an intense fight. Despite Nanpou initially "victorious", Kadokura detailed his intentions of joining Kakerou and becoming a flawless Referee before returning to his feet and defeating Nanpou. At some point, Nanpou joined the MPD and eventually became the assistant commissioner.
