LSI-3Se personality type is ESTJ, the “Adventurer.” (The last time I checked, there were not enough ESTJs in America to warrant a separate personality type.) I could have used a few more ESTJs to help with the writing and editing of this book. But it’s not just about quantity, it’s about quality; the ESTJ personality type is the most capable of all the Myers-Briggs types in terms of being able to make decisions, see opportunities, and see things in black and white.
The tough part about writing this book is that I had to make some very deliberate decisions. While I believe that every Myers-Briggs type can be a great writer—and I know many who are—I also know that some types are better writers than others. For example, some types are better at synthesizing thoughts, while others are better at making big-picture decisions. Some types are better at finding images or metaphors that help explain things, while others are better at finding specific examples that prove a point.
For this book, I wanted to include a variety of writing styles for every Myers-Briggs type.
