Frank Russell/"Brain Matter" personality type is INTP, I have a great deal of respect for him, and I think he wrote excellent essays. He does not seem to be a fanatic, like so many other people here. In fact, he's very intelligent, and has probably accomplished more than most of us.
I agree that it's a good idea to interact with the community, but one needs to be careful about over-interacting, because you can get to the point where you're no longer a member of the community, but of the community cult. I'm not saying all of us are there yet. I'm saying that we need to be aware that if we're not careful, we can become so involved in our own theories that we stop believing in them, or do not believe them any more after enough time passes, or a new paradigm comes along that invalidates our old theories. You can't be a skeptic if you don't have a point of view.
