Wade Thornton personality type is INTP, and seems to have a rare gift for not only being able to create great characters, but also for creating realistic ones. He can draw you in with his writing, and you will find yourself with a few cringeworthy moments and a lot of laughs as you read about the antics of the various characters (especially the crazy neighbors who live next door.)
The book is a series of short stories that take place in the same neighborhood over a period of several years. The characters’ lives are woven together so that they fall into one another’s lives at just the right time, and the reader is left wondering if they will meet again. Every character is likeable, even the ones that are not so nice.
The book has a number of characters who appear only in one or two stories, so if you are not into books with lots of characters, this may not be the book for you. I found myself wishing that there were more stories with each character, but I know how hard it is for someone to write a book about one character over a longer period of time. Still, I really enjoyed the book and plan to look for others by this author.
