    Lorenzo de' Medici
    ESTJ

    ESTJ (6w5)

Lorenzo de' Medici personality type is ESTJ, which is an extrovert, sensing, thinking, judger. He's a "realist", as opposed to the idealist type, who sees the world as it is, not as it ought to be.

This is even more apparent in his later life. After the death of Giuliano de' Medici, Medici quickly realized that he needed to turn his back on his father's "idealism" and take more practical steps toward consolidating power. This is the kind of man that moves things forward.

This section of my Lorenzo de' Medici character profile reflects his later life, which was spent consolidating power.

    Lorenzo de' Medici Personality Type

Lorenzo de' Medici is an extrovert ESTJ, which means he's an "extroverted sensing, thinking, judger". This means he's an expert at sensing people's emotions and thoughts and making judgments about them. He's also an "extraverted thinking" type, which means he's highly intelligent and fast-thinking.

Lorenzo di Piero de' Medici was an Italian statesman, banker, de facto ruler of the Florentine Republic and the most powerful and enthusiastic patron of Renaissance culture in Italy. Also known as Lorenzo the Magnificent by contemporary Florentines, he was a magnate, diplomat, politician and patron of scholars, artists, and poets. As a patron, he is best known for his sponsorship of artists such as Botticelli and Michelangelo. He held the balance of power within the Italic League, an alliance of states that stabilized political conditions on the Italian peninsula for decades, and his life coincided with the mature phase of the Italian Renaissance and the Golden Age of Florence. On the foreign policy front, Lorenzo manifested a clear plan to stem the territorial ambitions of Pope Sixtus IV, in the name of the balance of the Italian League of 1454. For these reasons, Lorenzo was the subject of the Pazzi conspiracy, in which his brother Giuliano was assassinated.
