Higuchi personality type is INTP, or "introverted, intuitive, thinking, perceiving". This personality type is characterized by introspection and hypersensitivity to the environment as well as by a tendency toward abstract thinking and logical reasoning.

The extroverted sensing type is said to be governed by the conscious and the external world, whereas the introverted intuitive type is said to be governed by the unconscious and the inner world. As a result, this type is said to be more influenced by the outside world and less by the inner world.
