Skylar’s Mom personality type is ESTJ, the protector. He is an extremely hard worker and his concern for others comes across in his relationships. He gets a very intense, almost physical reaction out of me when I am apart from him. Because I am someone who is often overwhelmed by emotions and don’t know how to process them, this can be a little overwhelming. I am often anxious and anxiousness is something that I associate with fear.
I was also very anxious when I first met Skylar. We had a coffee date about a week after we started dating, and when I got there he said he had been waiting for me all day. He was very excited to see me, and I had no reason to be anxious at all. However, when I sat down to talk to him, my anxiety took over. I was so worried about what he was thinking and what he thought of me that my mouth kept going and I had to stop myself from saying something stupid. When Skylar told me about his fears about moving in together, I felt like every emotion that I had ever been afraid of hitting me in the face. Again, he was telling me something that I could not process and it overwhelmed me.
