Sateina personality type is INTP, and saying that he is a sociopath is absurd. He's just a guy that makes a lot of money and isn't afraid to tell you he's not interested in anything other than money. There is nothing wrong with that, and I don't understand why you think otherwise.
My second example is less personal, but more informative:
A few years ago, the company I worked for was acquired by another company. The new company was smaller, and more focused on software development rather than sales. One of the higher-ups at the new company was a fire-breathing asshole that didn't like anything. As an example, he would have a complete stranger come talk to us once a month to talk about the newest feature of our product, and he would have us all basically priming him on what we thought would be the best way to sell our product to the new company.
One day, this guy came in to give us the latest update on our product and told us (in front of our manager) that he had heard we could write our own reporting system.
