Margit was born in Östergötland, Sweden, in 5th century Denmark. When she was five she was assigned to a foster family in the countryside to live on a farm. Her parents were not alive and she had no siblings. She was raised as a simple farmer's daughter with little exposure to the outside world. She was a bright and intelligent child and eventually became one with the farm. She learned to care for animals and farm the land, along with other chores. She learned the skills of reading and writing through her own efforts. She absorbed everything around her, learning from all the people around her. She began to become interested in Nature and how it worked. She became fascinated with how everything worked and how it grew. She enjoyed studying plants, animals and the earth, so much that she one day decided to become a doctor. She lived for many years as a farmer, caring for the earth, animals and people around her.
Young adulthood
Margit's people were simple farmers, like most Swedes of the time.
