Introverted Troll personality type is INTP, but it's not the usual flavor of INTP we're used to.
I've run across this type many times throughout my life, but I've only recently realized that I've run across them in a different form. Usually, the INTP is one of my favorite types to work with. They're extremely interesting and complex, and they can often be very funny. They're also brilliant, which is why I was so skeptical of their existence.
But these INTPs have a different flavor. They're not humorously unusual or eccentric. They're actually quite gloomy, and as far as I can tell, they are mildly depressed.
I'm not saying that all INTPs are like this, but the ones I've come across are. I'm not sure if this is a common quality among the more depressed types (I'm usually more attracted to the more eccentric ones), but it does seem to be common among the depressed ones.
These INTPs aren't going to tell you about their depression unless you ask them, and even then they might be reluctant to talk about it, especially if they're still in some stage of depression.
