Livius Drusus was a Roman poet and politician. He was considered one of the greatest Latin poets of all time. He was a supporter of Julius Caesar and was made a member of the Dictator’s Council. His main work is the Eclogues, which are a collection of poems about nature and human emotion. He is most remembered for his heroic poem Argonautica, in which he describes the journey of Jason and the Argonauts. These poems, along with others, were later incorporated into Virgil’s Aeneid.
I’ve always admired Drusus for many reasons. He was intelligent and eloquent, and he was a patriot and a Roman citizen. He was also a great poet, and his poems are often considered to be some of the best of all time.
