At the age of 6, he saw a music video on television and decided that he wanted to become a singer. At age 14, he began to practice singing and writing lyrics. He was discovered by the Korean entertainment label Big Hit Entertainment when he performed a rap song in front of the label's producers. In 2012, he made his debut as a member of Big Hit Entertainment group Bangtan Boys (formerly known as BTS).
2015–present: Career peak and personal life [ edit ]
BTS released their debut extended play 2 Cool 4 Skool on February 13, 2015. The EP included three songs: "No More Dream", "I Need U" and "Epilogue: Young Forever".[2] The EP received widespread critical acclaim. In 2015, they released their first full-length album, O!RUL8,2?.
