The INTP personality type is also known as the “Theoretical” personality type, and while they are a theoretical type they are also a very practical type as well.
These are the types who love to look at the big picture and work out the implications. INTPs can be very good at putting their ideas down and working out the details. INTPs tend to think outside of the box, and have a very broad perspective on things. They are excellent at strategizing and looking for the long term. They are not good at getting caught up in unnecessary details and can often overlook the bigger picture.
INTPs are also not good at identifying and understanding emotions. They can be very ‘logical’ in their thinking, but this also can make them appear unemotional. They can sometimes seem aloof or detached. They like to think things through rationally, and they like to get to the bottom of things and understand them. They are excellent at verbalizing ideas and coming up with new ideas.
INTPs are never really ‘happy’ but they also do not act unhappy either.
