Being that Hana was born in a Japanese family, she was expected to be a good student. This was the same for her older sister, who she looked up to. Hana’s family was a relatively wealthy one, and she was raised in a very traditional way. She even attended a Catholic school for most of her life, which she gave up during her time in high school for a more “progressive” school.
Hana thought that she had “found her calling” during elementary school, when she played the violin. However, as she started to get older, she had a hard time finding anyone who shared her interest in music, and so she had to look elsewhere to practice. This led her to try out acting, and eventually singing. She was never interested in the dancing aspect of it.
