"They're both very different personalities, but they're both very much Blizzard," said Blizzard game director Jay Wilson. "They're both very kind of analytical, very thoughtful, and very rational, but they're very different in their approach and how they think about things."
Wilson noted that one of the most important things Blizzard has done is to separate the two personalities. "We did a lot of just creating different characters to play as. The people that play Diablo III play as a wizard or a wizard type character, you know, whereas people who play Starcraft play as a Protoss," Wilson said. "We tried to kind of separate them out so that each one has a different player base and it's easy for players to get into."
Blizzard is also using the personalities to help promote the game. Wilson said that Blizzard is using the game's personalities to help promote the game. The two personalities have been featured in short videos that were put together by Blizzard, following the game's launch. Wilson said that the company also plans to use the personalities in other ways.
